I have always been guided by the phrase “The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.” So true.

After earning my M.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Southern California in my 20’s, I went back to school in my 30’s and earned my Ph.D. in Communication Studies from Arizona State University.

 

I teach, I conduct research, I partner with a colleague to produce a podcast about adult daughter-mother communication, my heart soars when I am acting on stage, and I am a writer. When I go down a new path, I say, “Why not travel in this direction for a while?” In short, I always try to be learning and experiencing new things.
